The Missoula Children’s Theatre administers its extensive road operations from office and shop spaces housed in a former 1935 grammar school. Increasingly, MCT needed a main stage adequate to house its growing program of community musical theatre. WDG designed a 330 seat theatre in the old school gymnasium, and added new audience support and technical support spaces alongside the existing school building. The existing upper level running track was particially removed and converted to balcony seating.
